When will Australia see the iPhone?
Argh, no, we don’t mean the unlocked black market version
According to a few media sources, Thailand’s largest mobile operator, Advanced Info Service (AIS) are in negotiations with Apple for iPhone distribution in Asia and Australia. AIS is apparently in collaboration with SingTel (SingTel, being the owner of Optus).
Telstra previously advised that they had been in negotiations with Apple, so I guess it’s still a wait and see, but perhaps its getting closer for all those Apple fans eagerly awaiting the iPhone here in Australia.
