Take-Two Interactive Software Inc are doing better than expected after records sales of the Grand Theft Auto new release.

“Grand Theft Auto 4″ was launched on April 29 to critical acclaim and earned $500 million in sales in its first week.

The criminal action game had sold 8.5 million copies to consumers and 11 million copies to retail outlets as of May 31.

I’m sure devoted Grand Theft Auto fans aren’t at all surprised?!
