Apple News: iPhone 3G confirmed for purchase in Australia
iPhone available 11 July
It’s now more than just a rumour! The Apple iPhone will be available 11 July in Australia and New Zealand (the same date as many other countries, including the US).
Like the original iPhone (not previously sold by Apple Australia), it combines three products in one - a phone, a widescreen iPod and an Internet device with desktop-class web browser and HTML email.
With 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support of Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and hundreds of third party applications built with the iPhone SDK, the Apple iPhone 3G comes in two models: an 8GB and a 16GB model.
