Apple news: 4th generation nano
Apple unveils the 4G iPod nano
Well the new 4G iPod nano is the same size and shape as the prototype photos that had been leaked onto the net, and as we chatted about last week.
If colour is your thing, you’re in luck

Nine colours to be exact (including the base silver)!
But what’s it made of, what’s the features?
- All aluminium case, with funky curved off edges
- 90.7mm high x 38.7 mm wide (similar to 2G nano)
- Curved glass screen, 2-inch (diagonal) liquid crystal display with LED backlight
- 8Gb flash: up to 2K songs, 7K photos, 8 hours of video
- 16Gb flash: up to 4K songs, 14K photos, 16 hours of video
- Accelerometer
Games certainly sound like a lot more fun on the new nano…
Now you can get in on games made especially for iPod nano and the accelerometer. They respond to the way you move, so they’re immersive, addictive, and a blast.
I’m still not sold on the shake feature though. We’ve seen it on other brands – “Just shake it and it shuffles to another song”…
Without testing the nano with this feature, it’s hard to know how well it travels on a rough train or bus.
Ok, ok, I’m sure it’s fine – cool even?!
So what are you waiting for?
