“JB HiFi stops selling CD singles due to low customer sales”
The music format suffered a fatal blow after JB HiFi ceased stocking CD singles yesterday because of declining sales.”
How do you obtain your music?
The CD single is set to join the poor extinct Dodo, with Music downloads being the preferred format to obtain singles these days.
I imagine all major chains will go down the same path, if they haven’t already. Makes good business sense I guess… how long since you bought a CD single?
Give me a CD
As well as downloading music, I’m currently still a CD horder. I like to read the lyrics and look at the pretty pictures
- and of course, store it alphabetically on my CD rack
If you managed to purchase yourself some hot Splendour in the Grass tickets but are now unable to go, then you only have until this Friday 17 July to relist your tickets on the Qjump site.
The resale facility closes at 5pm sharp, so allow yourself enough time before then for them to be uploaded and resold… or you’ll be down the entire ticket price!
Advice from the Splendour team
Splendour organisers advise that any festival goers trying to enter with tickets stating incorrect name and date of birth etc, will be refused entry.
Let’s recap:
You cannot enter without correct details on the ticket
You cannot transfer your ticket to another person
You cannot sell your ticket on eBay – or buy one there, for that matter
Sounds harsh maybe – but it is all in a bid to quash the unlawful, dodgy and deceitful rip-off scalpers.
Think of some of your favourite current day singers and bands…
Think of one of your favourite older legendary songs and bands…
Now, wouldn’t it be unreal if the songs and voices melded together!
Well, have you heard about the White Album Concert?
In 1968 The Beatles released one of the most diverse and compelling albums of all time – The White Album. Now, it’s 40 years on…
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this extraordinary album four of Australia’s most respected and popular rock performers backed by a 17 piece band made up of the country’s finest musicians will perform The White Album song for song, in track order.”
Combining the musical talents of Josh Pyke, Chris Cheney (The Living End), Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) and Tim Rogers (You Am I), these amazing Aussie lads (and band) will show you just why The White Album is so iconic as they tour Australia!
