Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump & Bejewelled – coping with addiction
Get Your Game On
If you’re loving your iPod touch for the gaming, then you’ve probably downloaded all of these apps already?
First there was news Doodle Jump overtook Bejewelled as highest game downloaded on iTunes. Now Fruit Ninja has overtaken both of them.
- Have a strong preference to any of them?
- Haven’t heard of them and (gasp) don’t want to feel left out?
Check them all out below.
Doodle Jump
In Doodle Jump, you guide a four-legged alien known as the “Doodler” upwards through a series of platforms without falling or encountering monsters or black holes. The character is controlled by tilting the iPhone left and right.
Highly Addictive. One reviewer tweeted “if you value your life, never download Doodle Jump”.

Business Insider reported that based on calculations, the app was at that stage being downloaded approximately 28,000 times a day. That many people can’t be wrong?! But of course, we all move on unless it’s something that can keep us entertained.
Next came Fruit Ninja….

Bejewelled
Now, even without an iPod touch or iPhone, I think you know how popular Bejewelled is. You have seen all your Facebook friends newsfeeds with who reached the highest score and such. But it has been fully optimised for touch screen. Global leaderboard where you can update your Facebook page with stars and medals, four different game modes, hours of fun!
