A finger becomes a thumb (drive)
Huh?! You heard right… but I think seeing is believing with this story (launch the link below for pics).
In Finland, a guy who lost his ring finger in a motorcycle accident has had his finger replaced with a USB stick.
The Sun (UK) quote:
Fings ain’t what they used to be…”
His next idea? Make one with wireless technology.
Cool – he can be his own little wifi hotspot!

Office days can be tedious. Sure, you could spend them working, but why not show your boss your flare for ingenuity, resourcefulness and problem-solving in a slightly different way.
“How?” you ask
By using available office stationery to make a versatile stand to watch videos at your desk on your mobile phone, iPod classic or iPod touch – whatever digital gadget floats your boat.

Now, the trick is in how you market the time and resources spent to your boss. Perhaps you should download one of his instructional marketing tutorials from YouTube (yawn).
Originally for the iPhone, but very easily adapted to suit whatever digital gadget you use…
Check out these posts for instructions for both:

Was your New Year’s resolution to lose weight?

If you’re having trouble shaking the few extra kilos you gained from Christmas pudding, don’t turn to Facebook for help.
Whilst it can help you keep in touch with family and friends – or fill monotonous work days, it might also add even more unwanted kilos with a new application by Burger King.
According to CNET news by installing Whopper Sacrifice – you just “Delete 10 facebook friends, get a free whopper”
The cons?
The friend sacrifices show up in your mini feed, so your buddies will know who you chose to sacrifice for a whopper.
The pros?
But perhaps that’s a pro, seeing we’ve all got a handful of ex-work friends and childhood neighbours cousins friends that we really don’t need to keep in contact with anyway?
I guess by sacrificing all your friends, you’ll have more time on your hands. Maybe search for more games and apps on iTunes – you’ve got to fill up your days somehow.

Apples become healthy snack – and an Apple iPod accessory
Apple fanboys do go to amazing lengths to declare to the world how much they love Apple.
And in this case, Apples!
Source: Weird Asia News
A Japanese Apple fan has produced Apple and iPod branded apples in his orchard.

By placing custom-made stickers on his apples prior to them rippening, they have picture perfect images on the skin.
I wonder if we’ll see this idea taking off with growers and their own line of branding (excepting of course the unwarranted labour involved)?! A labour of love though in this orchard owner’s case.
As ACPMag also reports, it’s definitely not the first (or will it be the last) show of Mac adoration:
One writer was able to produce a 280 page coffee table book (Cult of Mac) of crazy Mac related fanboy stunts, along with a sequel. There’s now an upcoming movie called MacHeads, The Movie, a documentary about Apple fans, due for release at Macworld in 2009.
Clever marketing and timing.
