Facebook App not helping with your diet

Was your New Year’s resolution to lose weight?

Facebook

If you’re having trouble shaking the few extra kilos you gained from Christmas pudding, don’t turn to Facebook for help.

Whilst it can help you keep in touch with family and friends – or fill monotonous work days,  it might also add even more unwanted kilos with a new application by Burger King.

According to CNET news by installing Whopper Sacrifice – you just “Delete 10 facebook friends, get a free whopper”

The cons?

The friend sacrifices show up in your mini feed, so your buddies will know who you chose to sacrifice for a whopper.

The pros?

But perhaps that’s a pro, seeing we’ve all got a handful of ex-work friends and childhood neighbours cousins friends that we really don’t need to keep in contact with anyway?

I guess by sacrificing all your friends, you’ll have more time on your hands.  Maybe search for more games and apps on iTunes – you’ve got to fill up your days somehow.

Monty Python on YouTube

Get your Monty Python fix!

In (hopefully) a clever move by the Monty Python crew, they are opening up their vault and putting movie scenes and videos on YouTube for our viewing pleasure – on their own Monthy Python YouTube Channel.

Sick of being ripped off blind for years by others posting (often cr@p quality) videos on YouTube, the Monty Python crew decided it was time to “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life“.

Monty Python announce the launch of their YouTube channel:

But don’t just take my word for it, head across to YouTube and subscribe to their channel, watch all their footage… then be good little peeps and perhaps buy some of the videos?!

Of course, if they continue to be ripped off, they suggest what happen. Knowing Monty Python, they may even resort to a public stoning … so beware!

:)

Enjoy!

MySpace Artist on Artist: Jackman & Luhrmann

Hugh interviews Baz

I love the Artist on Artist interviews on MySpace. You get a real feel for the true artists, they interview with honesty and rawness.

All round nice guy Hugh Jackman chats with Baz Luhrmann about his new epic Australia, his life and inspirations.

Australia is in cinemas from 26 November.  In the meantime, you can watch the official trailer.  Looks great!!

Oval office a tech-free zone

Obama’s security issue: BlackBerry ban

Imagine having to give up all your technical gadgets – and seemingly step back years in technology advancement … just to take a new job.

Sounds a little backyards doesn’t it?

That’s what Barrack Obama is being told will be a necessity for security purposes.

Obama’s blackberry and Apple ban

The President-elect and ‘geek-in-chief’ isn’t happy at being forced to give up his favourite gadgets once he moves into the Oval Office.

How would you cope?

  • Do you even remember the days before syncing your smartphone with your laptop?
  • Have we become too dependent on gadgets?
  • Do you feel like your arm has been cut off if you accidently leave your mobile phone at home?

Yes, I’m sure most of us can sympathise a little with Obama in this regard.

However, given the technical pioneering he has already shown, I’m sure he’ll find a work-around…
