LG’s KC910 Renoir is proving very popular. Being one of the slimmest touchscreens on the market and boasting a 8Mp camera, it’s not hard to see why…
Features
8Mp camera: The LG Renoir’s exceptional camera features helps you get the best out of photos, with auto focus, face tracking and beauty shot.
Customisable Widgets: Personalise and customise your display, have quick access to your favourite friends contact details, calendar, photos and more.
Edit photos & video: LG Renoir’s Editing Suite means you can edit both pictures and movies on the go. With pictures you can add text, morph images and much more. With movies you can edit the length and merge your clips together.
MP3 player: LG Renoir is the first handset to include Dolby Mobile – powerful bass!
Assisted GPS: The in-built A-GPS Receiver and GPS mapping application has text based navigational assistance. It also allows you to create an interactive map using your own photos – and features ‘Jogging Buddy’ which uses GPS technology to help track workouts.

“LG back in the Arena with new touchscreen mobile phone”

Recognise it?
Well, you could be forgiven for thinking it looks somewhat similar to LG’s Viewty, but it does have a few standout features in the ongoing battle to “outdo the iPhone“, (see PC Authoritycomparisons).
If you like crisp sound, then the Dolby Mobile surround sound might get you excited. At least now if you want to annoy fellow commuters by watching movies, the sound will be good
If you like something different, check out the cube interface home screens (four cube-shaped rotating home screens, each one can be activated with a single touch). I’ll leave it to users to decide if the menu interface and options are easy or not.

A couple of features the iPhone may still have over it though, are, better browsing and of course, the apps store.
With increased reliance on using mobile web and viewing movies, touch screen mobile phones are becoming the consumers’ choice.
More of the big manufacturer’s are also releasing touch screen mobile phones, which is bridging the gap even more between the traditional mobile phone and the PDA.
The brand you choose depends on what you want out of your phone …
Want to use MS Office? How about HTC.
Sick of carrying your mobile phone and your iPod? Then of course the iPhone might be your choice.
LG bought out the Viewty – and many other manufacturers like Blackberry and Nokia are also getting onboard.
