Live Music: Bluesfest Special Preview

One Week to wait for Byron Blues…

Whether you call it the “Bluesfest Byron Bay” or “East Coast Blues and Roots” doesn’t really matter. Now 19 years on, it is known as one of the world’s best Blues and Roots Music Festivals. And for good reason!

There’s always an amazing line-up of international and local artists, phenomenal music and a gentle caring atmosphere in the crowd.

If, like us, you’re unable to get there this year; or even if you just want a sneak preview of what you’re in for - check out this video preview from the BluesFest website:

The crowd participation certainly sums up the vibe.

Online music: Listen to Hot Chip’s “Made in the Dark”

They were here in Oz ~ they were hot. They are: Hot Chip

Hot Chip are the much raved about indie/dance outfit from the UK.

They’ve just done some of the Big Day Out circuit here but have now returned home and are touring the UK.

Hot Chip - Made in the Dark

Ready for the Floor is the first single off their awaited third album, Made in the Dark, with the album also being released.

For a limited time, you can listen online at ninemsn.

Once you’ve heard it, you’ll probably want to buy the album. If that’s the case, pre-order from Sanity now!

Happy listening…

Vote on the Hottest 100

You’re fast running out of time to vote for the best 2007 songs in the Triple J Hottest 100 competition. Entries closed Sunday 20.01.

Even if just supporting and voting for your favourite artists isn’t enough incentive, don’t forget that you also get a crack a “Golden Ticket” - two tickets to any Triple J supported gig or event in 2008.

What I wouldn’t do for that prize… Actually on second thoughts, the more of you who forget to vote surely only makes my chances of winning even better? Forget I mentioned it! ;)
