Where to find tickets to Splendour in the Grass 2009
There are thousands of disappointed Splendour in the Grass fans without tickets. It may come as no surprise, but they once again sold out in record time (1 hr 15 mins). The ticketing fiasco causes quite a bit of high blood pressure, anxiety and stress, perhaps even loss of friendships for those missing out.. who knows?!
You may even be one of them, searching for a Splendour tickets solution…?
Well, as is customary each year, I try to help you find as many other solutions for Splendour in the Grass tickets. Whether that be competitions for Splendour in the Grass tickets, ticket give-aways, or information and tickets to Splendour side shows, etc.

The Side-Shows – the practicality of them…
Now, if you missed out on Splendour tickets, aside from licking your wounds and feeling mopey, think about how damn expensive a weekend at Splendour has become. If you’re single, it’s costs a minimum of over $370 just to step in the gates for the weekend and camp onsite. Add another couple of hundred if you’re needing other accommodation.
Let’s add travel to that (could be $20 in petrol, about $200 in car hire or $500 in flights, depending on your location).
Not to be forgotten is the mortgage-repayment size of cash needed to feed and entertain you for the weekend (at last count spirits were like $8-10 each)… let’s guestimate an absolute bare minimum of $150 each day (but we know it’s gunna be more right??) so add another $300 to the bill.
So maybe over a $1,000 already right…. (or $2,000 for a couple). WTF Splendour?
How many side shows do you reckon your could catch for that price? That’s right, you could probably catch three to four international or local sideshows in your capital city, with food and drinks, for that price. And no freezing your @ off, no muddy landslides, no annoying overzealous misbehaving teens… or is this the Splendour experience we love that we’re missing out on?
